This avocado tart full of zesty lime flavor, no bake, paleo, grain free and gluten free makes the perfect refreshing summer treat!
Are you a tart person or a pie person?
Thanks to California Avocados for sponsoring this post.
I used to think it was all about the pie (the farm market down the road that makes every fruit pie under the sun aiding my bias a bit) but tarts lend themselves to the whole no-bake thing and let’s be real, that trumps making pie crust any day. So, I became a tart person.
I mean, just look at that adorable mini tart shell crust. I’d say it beats a pie any day.
Much like my opinion about pie shifted, so has my thoughts on avocado in desserts.

I used to think this trend to throw it in smoothies, combine it with chocolate in everything from cookies to muffins to truffles and even make ice cream out of it was completely whack.
It’s an avocado, people! Let’s keep it to tacos, guacamole and salads.
But, not any more.
Case in point, avocado muffins.
And now, this avocado tart!

What better time to get on this avocado dessert trend with this no bake lime avocado tart than in anticipation of California Avocado month in June?
If you like key lime pie, I can guarantee you’ll be into this avocado tart (or this key lime coconut panna cotta – so good!).

It’s tart, creamy and refreshing with a perfectly chewy, sweet crust.
It’s gluten free, grain free and paleo too made with dates, nuts, coconut oil and of course, lots of ripe California avocados and fresh lime juice.
The ingredient list is simple, natural and the tart couldn’t be easier to put together.
It stays wonderfully in the freezer too so you can have always have some on hand to crush a summer dessert craving.
If avocado in a dessert is a little too out there for you, I get it. Try this chocolate strawberry tart for something a little more traditional instead or our unbeatable peach tart with streusel topping when summer peaches are in season.

DELICIOUS
Love Avocados… anything – PERIOD! They’re a staple in our house. This recipe caught my eye as both my husband & I love Avocados… love dates, too! So I thought I’ve gotta make this BUT… no tart pans! Fixed it quickly… after a quick search as to where I can buy these tart pans , bought them & now going to make this delicious NO BAKE Lime Avocado Tart ASAP! Mmmm!
Gina, your recipes are amazing… your photos are beautiful! Thank you for some amazing recipes!
Fantastic healthy recipe whether you want to indulge or impress !
Hi I would like to try these, do you recall the size of you avocados?
Dates are aubout the same, but some Avocados are almost 3 times the size of others.

They were medium sized avocados. I don’t think you normally see that much of a variation in regular grocery stores.
Where I live, you see all sizes of avocados and the price isn’t always telling of the size. Giving an measurement like – 1/2 cup would be more helpful. It’s kind of like when people say juice of 1 lemon, but that doesn’t tell how much juice the lemon yielded. How much citrus yields all depends on the size, variety and freshness.
Hi there GIna, the tart sound great, just one question, when you state for 1/4 cup of agave what tipe you are meaning: agave syrup, agave juice or maybe “Tequila” ? it would be nice to know.
Thank you and a nice day.
agave syrup – it’s used as the sweetener
Ok, Thank you and have a nice week
what happens if i do not add in lime?
Mostly- it won’t taste like lime and will just be an avocado tart. If that sounds appealing to you, go for it I guess.
this is so delciious! I made it last night and it tastes amazing.. the filling on it’s own would make a good sorbet too :)
So glad you liked it! I’m still enjoying one from the freezer, a bite each night :)
This totally reminds me of a lime tart! I bet each slice is so creamy and perfect! The green color is absolutely gorgeous with the crust and the chocolate on top!
This is gorgeous! Beautiful color and texture.
Wow, that color is so cool!!
