Paleo challenge: Day 14

From Jan 1 – 31 I’m doing a strict paleo (slightly modified Whole30) challenge with my CrossFit box. I decided to journal the month in food on here (in addition to normal posting) after getting a huge positive response on my Facebook page. I’m also going to detail the amount of sleep I got, the workout for the day and any other relevant notes. I’ll only detail drinks when it’s something other than water or tea, but note that I typically drink 80-100 ounces of water a day. I’ll link to recipes (either mine or other people’s) when applicable, but I don’t usually cook from recipes for myself so if you leave a comment asking for the recipe for something, there is none unless otherwise noted.

Notes for the day:

Wrist update: with 12 days of wearing an unwashable wrist brace, I’m ready to take the damn thing off for good before I faint of the smell. Hands sweat, especially when working out and this thing is just beyond foul. I’ve started doing my own little PT sessions when I need a break during the day to try to get full mobility back in a joint that’s been essentially been inactive for 2 weeks. Every ounce of me wants to lift a barbell or jump up on the bar at CrossFit (if I never see a box jump again I’ll be ok with that after these past 2 weeks) but I can tell that even after Wednesday (the 2 week mark), it’s going to be a slow progression back. The pain is gone but it just feels incredibly stiff and almost like it “forgot” how to be a normal wrist. Baby steps…
