Chocolate Hazelnut Mug Cake

This chocolate hazelnut mug cake is ready in 5 minutes from preparation to baked. It’s the perfect quick chocolate fix.

Ingredients 

  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Instructions 

  • Combine all ingredients in a large, greased mug and whisk together well with a fork.
  • Microwave for 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

If you don’t have Justin’s, Nutella would be a great substitute.

  4. This was terrible! Sorry, but it was not at all good. It was so bland and way too moist. Don’t make this.

  5. I’m terrible sorry as far as its good looks I have to agree with Jennifer. I got the same results with her – bland and a lot of calories; about more than 350! It needs a little tweaking such as less vegetable oil (about more than a third of the calories is from the oil; A tbsp of it is 120, so the recipe calls for 180 kcal of oil!) Tweaking might improve it? Such as less oil, a little bit more of sugar and/or more chocolate.

  6. Terrible. Tastes surprisingly bland and has a lot of calories. A waste of good chocolate hazelnut spread.
