1ouncesemi-sweet chocolatechopped, or use chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pot over medium heat. Whisk and bring to a simmer.
Pour into mugs once hot and top with whipped cream.
Notes
—If using the pumpkin pie spice syrup, omit the maple syrup. The hot chocolate is too sweet with both of these ingredients, choose one or the other.—See notes in the post about using chopped chocolate or chocolate chips for an extra decadent version of this hot chocolate.
