Air fryer peaches are one of the most delicious summer desserts you can make in just minutes.

Sprinkled with a touch of cinnamon sugar and roasted until golden brown and caramelized, their sweetness is showcased in the most perfect way.

Enjoy with chopped nuts or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for some extra indulgence!

I wait all year for stone fruit season. Specifically peaches and nectarines.

And if we’re being honest, I’ll always opt for a white nectarine over a peach but either in their sweet ripe state is totally the best part of summer.

You can try to change my mind with other seasonal gems like 24/7 flip flop wearing, fire pit s’mores nights or sun-kissed glowing skin but sweet peaches will still reign supreme.

Sometimes I get ambitious and make things like an upside down nectarine cake or a paleo peach shortcake, but this year amidst a recent move and total life chaos, I’m keeping it simple with the stone fruit enjoyment.

And it truly does not get any simpler than these air fryer peaches for a summer dessert.

With just a cinnamon sugar dusting and some coconut oil (just like air fried pineapple), the peaches caramelize to perfection in under 10 minutes for a warm, indulgent summer treat that couldn’t be more effortless.

INGREDIENTS FOR AIR FRIED PEACHES

These air fryer peaches come together with just four ingredients. That’s one less than the creamy peach popsicles I also obsess over this time of year. You can’t go wrong with either peach treat!

You’ll need:

  • 4 peaches cut in half
  • melted coconut oil
  • coconut sugar – you can sub any other sugar you’d like (granulated, brown, maple sugar, etc.)
  • cinnamon

Garnishes are optional but add a nice finishing touch when serving.

I like some fresh mint for a nice bright contrast, chopped walnuts and a pinch more cinnamon sugar on my peaches.

My Pro Tip

Recipe Tip

Pretty much any stone fruit will work (cherries might be weird) with this air fryer method so swap out whatever you have. I’ve tried plums and apricots before with success. Although it’s hard to beat this apricot cobbler — one of my favorite ways to enjoy their short-lived season.

HOW TO AIR FRY PEACHES

Start by halving the peaches and removing the pit. Freestone peaches make this easiest to do. Read about the different types of peaches in our guide. Place the halves on a plate or cutting board and brush the cut side with the melted coconut oil.

Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle on top of each peach half. Coat the peaches well as you want enough on there to caramelize and turn golden brown when roasting in the air fryer.

Place the peaches in the air fryer either on a tray placed in the middle of an oven model air fryer (like mine) or in the basket.

Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes until the peaches turn golden brown and bubbly on top.

Remove from the air fryer, garnish as desired with fresh mint, chopped nuts, more cinnamon sugar, etc. and serve warm.

A scoop of vanilla ice cream, like how I serve air fryer bananas, is never a bad idea either!

CAN I USE OTHER FRUIT?

This recipe and method will also work with nectarines, apricots or plums.

If using peaches or nectarines, either the white or yellow variety will also work.

Use what you have on hand or whatever stone fruit is your favorite!

Making desserts out of these fruits is honestly one of the easiest ways to celebrate summer produce.

SHOULD THE PEACHES BE RIPE WHEN AIR FRYING?

This is total goldilocks situation.

You want the peaches to be ripe enough so that the pit will come out somewhat easily without ripping the flesh out while also still firm enough to stand up to the heat of air frying.

Use peaches before you would typically eat them (if you enjoy super ripe and juicy fruit) but not hard as a rock as they often are in the grocery store.

CAN I USE CANNED PEACHES?

Sorry, but I don’t recommend this. Canned peaches are far too ripe and will turn to mush in the air fryer.

ARE AIR FRIED PEACHES DIFFERENT THAN GRILLED PEACHES?

Yes and no.

Both grilling and air frying peaches will give you similar results with a delicious warm, sweet peach in the end but they’re not exactly the same.

I’ve grilled peaches before like most (in fact, here’s a great grilled peaches with brown sugar crumble recipe) but find it more tedious and finicky than air frying.

With a grill, you have to be cognizant of greasing the grates so the peaches don’t stick and deal with the whole preheating business.

None of that applies to the air fryer and I think the result is slightly superior. Air fried peaches have a more juicy golden caramelization than grilled peaches.

Their sweetness really shines through and the natural juices that bubble up while the peaches air fry don’t spill over or evaporate like they tend to on a grill making them even more indulgent.

If you don’t have an air fryer, you can always make baked peaches in the oven instead with a similar result.

HOW TO SERVE CARAMELIZED PEACHES IN THE AIR FRYER

There aren’t many times I’ll accept fruit alone as dessert but when it comes to air fried peaches, I’m more than ok with it.

They’re just so sweet and delicious, serving up two halves in a bowl with a couple of simple garnishes more than satisfies a dessert craving.

But, if you want something a little more decadent, definitely dish these up with some softened ice cream.

A store-bought vanilla will always be delicious. The juices from the peaches swirl into it to make an almost creamsicle like flavor. Basically, like these peaches and cream oats but in dessert form!

Whipped cream is also another serving option for some added indulgence.

You can keep it simple with chopped walnuts, pecans or pistachios for a nice crunchy texture and some contrast to the soft peaches.

Or, you can make your granola topping to go with them. This nut-free granola or coconut almond granola are both great choices.

And while you may think it’s weird, I highly recommend the fresh mint leaves for a lovely added brightness to this sweet dish.

STORING LEFTOVERS, REHEATING & FREEZING

Store any leftovers in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in the microwave or air-fryer.

I don’t suggest freezing the air fried peaches because they’ll get super mushy when thawing.
