Paleo challenge: day 28

From Jan 1 – 31 I’m doing a strict paleo (slightly modified Whole30) challenge with my CrossFit box. I decided to journal the month in food on here (in addition to normal posting) after getting a huge positive response on my Facebook page. I’m also going to detail the amount of sleep I got, the workout for the day and any other relevant notes. I’ll only detail drinks when it’s something other than water or tea, but note that I typically drink 80-100 ounces of water a day. I’ll link to recipes (either mine or other people’s) when applicable, but I don’t usually cook from recipes for myself so if you leave a comment asking for the recipe for something, there is none unless otherwise noted.

Notes for the day:

I cooked 6+ pounds of pork carnitas on Friday, there’s still at least 2 pounds leftover and I’m getting really sick of cooking so expect to see it again and again and again over these last 3 days. I’m also getting really sick of documenting all this food. How do daily food bloggers do this??? So.damn.tedious.

So Ive only been food journaling for a few days via my new blog, and it is tiresome. Ive been mixing it up…sometimes there are pictures, sometimes I list it all. I cant believe you have done it all for a full month. That is admirable.

All you other food bloggers have made me want to try cross fit. Im so excited and scared at the same time. I havent really been doing much strength training, unless you count yoga or pilates once a week….which doesnt even begin to compare. Any tips for a newbie?
