December sponsor shout out

Hi guys! Hope everyone who celebrates had a very merry Christmas. I took an unplanned few days off from this computer to enjoy 1. a husband who is home (for more than 48 hours!) 2. food 3. family 4. more food 5. baking and 6. even more food.

I’ve got the week off from work, a 4 day ski trip planned to Vermont (where there’s no internet in our rental house) for New Year’s and not a single recipe in my back-up arsenal to share with you so there might be some more silence up in these parts until next week when life is back to normal again and I feel like cooking. I know, you’re bummed. Ha.

Until then, let’s talk about my awesome December sponsors.

Paleo Treats makes some craaaazy good treats/snacks. I’d honestly not heard of this company until they contacted me about sponsoring and that’s just a damn shame because after tasting some of their stuff, I have to say my life was incomplete beforehand. They make desserts that are gluten free, grain free, dairy free and without any processed sugar so you can still enjoy a treat while eating paleo. The ingredients are simple and the list of them is short on every dessert. Nothing complicated, just pure whole food.

The brownie bomb is my favorite to eat as a true dessert. It’s a legit chocolate fix. While the mustang bars are my go-to pre-workout snack. Not that I have trouble looking forward to CrossFit as is, but knowing this is my “fuel” beforehand gets me downright giddy to sweat. And every single one of their desserts gets exponentially better with a nice big spoonful of almond butter on top. Just sayin’.

Jessica is the woman behind Sweat is My Sanity. She’s a mom, runner and Beachbody coach whose blog focuses on fitness and health. She just recently lost over 20 pounds too! Jessica runs a Motivate Me Monday series that features other bloggers and their health/fitness stories and actually just featured me this month. You can read my story (which is actually way better of a synopsis than my ridiculously outdated about me page…ugh) and tons of others on her site.
