A simple, refreshing watermelon frosty drink for summer.
Since it’s the unofficial last “summer” weekend, I figured we’d go out with the most quintessential summer fruit there is.
Watermelon. It’s delicious in so many ways from salads to just enjoying chilled watermelon sticks in the hottest summer temps but today, we’re making a frosty.
Ala Wendy’s but make it summer instead of chocolate.
I hope you’re BBQ-ing, hanging out at the beach or chilling at a pool like the rest of the country, but I also hope you have a blender nearby.
This Wendy’s frosty gone fruity even has the exact same consistency – right smack in the middle of being too thick for a straw and too liquidy for a spoon so you either look like an emaciated fish trying to suck it up or a giant slob trying to shove it in your face.
I know you know what I’m talking about. Don’t front.
Just try not to get it all over your white pants you’re rocking out those one last time.
More Summer Drinks To Try:
How about a watermelon margarita shooter for the adults or a refreshing cantaloupe lime agua fresca if you’re not feeling the alcohol?

This looks so delicious and perfect for the watermelon in my fridge!
Yummy! I don’t understand how watermelon does this, but it is sooo good! Your frosty looks delicious!
lol I haven’t worn white pants all year this year – something about toddler grabby hands and whit pants doesn’t go together.
ps- did you add vodka? looks like this would go well with some vodka or gin.
I didn’t. I should’ve.
YUM! I have been obsessed with making watermelon slushy drinks this summer. So much so that I have an unlimited supply of watermelon waiting for me in the freezer! I haven’t thought of adding a banana to make it creamy though! I love this, I will for sure try it this way this week.
By the way, I made a drink recipe that included frozen watermelon and basil and those two go together beautifully!!
Sooo, I thought watermelon would be over and then our csa gave us another one this week. I also happen to have a TON of basil on hand right now. Must.combine.them

Slurp. And yes, vodka would be reallllly good in there :)
Hehehe, I always wind up in the spoon. This looks so refreshing.
Looks like a great porch sitting drink to me!
Thank goodness! I have 4 melons on my counter and it’s just my Husband and I! I am making this today, probably multiple times!! Thanks for the recipe Gina!! I can’t wait to make it!!
