From bookmark to blog: chocolate dipped stuffed peaches

These are pretty much the funkiest and most delicious combination of flavors I’ve ever tasted. You could probably guess what all but 1 of the 7 ingredients are in these just by looking at them but it’s the one you can’t guess that makes it so weird and amazing at the same time.

Any guesses?

No?

Want the answer?

Curry powder.

Mixed with goat cheese, in a peach that happens to be dipped in dark chocolate.

Seriously.

These were so freakishly delicious that after CrossFit last night when Ulysses wanted Rita’s, I happily skipped out to have these instead.

I saw Ashley’s post about these, read the title and thought “hmm…not sure about that”. Ashley, I’m sorry. You’re a genius.

Original recipe: Dark Chocolate Coconut Dipped Peaches with Curry-Honey Marscapone Filling

(I used goat cheese in place of the marscapone)

Haha, that’s exactly why I started this series! At least I’m forcing myself to make 1 thing a week this way rather than stare at it at the top right of my computer screen every day :)

Damn, what a delicious recipe… if only I wasn’t allergic to peaches :(

Try another stone fruit if you’re not allergic to them, it would equally good in nectarines, apricot, plums even!

I’ve put cayenne pepper in brownies, so I’m willing to believe curry powder would be delicious in this.
