What we ate Thanksgiving edition

Mr. Tom.

tday 2

Who was quite tasty this year. Brining is worth the effort.

Thanksgiving day2

Stuffed mushroom, brussels sprouts with bacon, sautéed mushrooms, cranberry sauce, roasted sweet potatoes, string beans, stuffing, and butternut squash soup (not pictured).

Impromptu modeling shows to help with digestion before dessert.

Thanksgiving day

Pomegranate orange scones, blurry coconut cream pie and of course pumpkin pie which somehow escaped the camera.

Thanksgiving day1

A relaxing, food-filled day with loved ones that ended with watching home videos from 1987 in which my then 3 year old brother was jumping up and down on a bed, naked. As if that isn’t embarrassing enough in and of itself, having Doreen and her mom watching was the icing on the cake. Classic.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving, or their normal Thursday if you’re not in the US. If you’re braving the crowds tomorrow morning….good luck!
