Shanna’s bridal shower

by Running to the Kitchen on July 31, 2011

Yesterday, my mom and I drove to central Pennsylvania and back for the bridal shower of one of my best friends, Shanna.

It was a surprise. That’s not her baby.

You may remember the bridesmaid dress from a a couple of months ago.

The shower was held at Benigna’s Creek winery near Shanna’s hometown.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day full of family, friends and food.

We were going for the “wind blown” look.

Shanna got a bunch of great gifts but, this one was the crowd’s favorite. IMG_1504

Are those not the best faces ever? She also got more lingerie than I’ve ever seen at a bridal shower.

It was a sassy crowd.

Can’t wait for the bachelorette party in 3 weeks!

What did you do on your Saturday?

What was the most embarrassing thing you got (or have seen someone get, if you’re not married) at your bridal shower?

I love that girl’s face! What a riot. This wasn’t a bridal shower gift, but the most embarrassing gift I got was pretty raunchy lingerie from my mother in law for Christmas the year that I got engaged to Jason. I think my face turned super bright red and I didn’t know what to say. Jason’s Grandparents were there as were tons of other family. She meant well, and now I can laugh about it but I felt so embarrassed.

These pictures are absolutely breathtaking, what a wonderful place to celebrate such an occasion. That cake is gorgeous! I would have demanded a piece with as many flowers as possible :)

“that’s not her baby.” Thank you for the clarification. :)

I didn’t get anything weird at my shower, but my friend got this HUMUNGOUS neglige from her mom’s friend. It was like something from the 1600′s. So strange.

You have some racy friends and one of them has my dress! Looks like you had some amazing foood; I would love one of those oreo cupcakes. Good to see actual grapes at a vineyard. I have yet to visit one at this time of year.
